  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced diagonally
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, grated
  • 10 oz dried Chinese egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup sliced mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, broccoli, and so forth)


In a small mixing dish, mix the soy sauce, ground Szechuan peppercorns, chile oil, sugar, toasted sesame seeds, ground white pepper, black vinegar, and five-spice powder. Mix everything together to make the cry baby sauce. Adjust the amount of chili oil and chili flakes according to what you prefer in terms of heat.
