  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup walnut halves
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • Water for boiling

Method

First of all, you have to start preparing the candied walnuts. Take a small saucepan and add water in it. You have to boil the water and then add walnut halves in it; let them boil in the water for around 2 minutes. After that, you have to drain and set it aside.

Moreover, you have to take the same saucepan or any other if you have then add sugar in it. You have to put it on medium heat and then stir constantly until the sugar melts in it. Now, it is the time to add the walnuts into the caramelized sugar. You need to stir it to coat the walnuts evenly.

You have to put these walnuts on a baking sheet lined with the parchment paper. Please make sure the walnuts are separated and not touching each other. You have to let them cool until they become hard. You need to make the sauce now by mixing together mayonnaise, condensed milk, honey and lemon juice in a bowl. Also, put this sauce aside and pat try the shrimp by using paper towels. It is important to season it with salt and pepper.

Furthermore, you have to place the cornstarch in the shallow dish and then dip each shrimp in the beaten eggs. After that, you have to coat it with cornstarch by shaking it properly. The frying pan’s oil needs to be heated on medium-high heat.

Moreover, make sure you fry the coated shrimp in batches until they turn into golden brown and crispy. You need to remove and then place them on the plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
